Recipe 4: Deviled Eggs

Deviled Eggs. – At first the name intrigued me. Deviled is usually a term used when there are ingredients such as Chilli powder , Mustard etc to add that extra ‘ Kick ‘ to the taste.  If you’d like to know some history behind the name , check this out.Why are Deviled eggs called Devilled eggs ? 🙂  

My version of this recipe is extremely simple.

Deviled Eggs

6 Eggs – Hard boiled
2 Tbsp – Mayoniase
1 Tbs – Mustard Sauce ( I have used english Mustard for this recipe )
2 Onions – Finely chopped – Optional
Any herb of your choice
1/2 Tsp – Chilli powder


Cut the Eggs into two ( Lenghtwise) and remove the yolk from it and place it in a bowl. Mash the Boiled Yolks untilthey turn into fine texture. To this add the finely chopped onions , Mayonaise , Mustard sauce , Chilli Powder ,Salt and lettuce and mix them thoroughly.
Once the mixture is prepared use a spoon or piping bag to fill in the Egg whites. Garnish it with fresh herbs ifyou like at this point.Refrigerate it. Serve it Cool.

  1. Great looking deviled eggs! Every so often I keep some deviled eggs in the fridge to enjoy as a quick snack. I hope to try your recipe next time I make a batch!
