An apple a day keeps the Doctor away. But having an apple every single day is pretty mundane. So here’s a twist to a dessert with an apple.
1 ) An apple ( Ofcourse 🙂
2 ) 3/4 Cup All purpose Flour
3 ) An egg
4 ) 1/4 Cup powdered Sugar
5 ) Food colour – Velvet Red
6 ) 2 to 3 Tbs Butter
7 ) 1 tsp Baking Powder
8 ) 1 Tsp Vanilla Essence
Procedure: Coarsely chop the apple and blend it with 1/2 a cup of water( I have left the skin on to get a nice texture ). To this add the flour , sugar , Baking pwder , Butter , Vanilla essence and food colour.In another bowl , beat the egg until its fluffy. Gently fold the Egg mixture into the apple and flour mixture.
Pre-Heat the oven at 180 C. Pour the Apple pudding mixture on to a baking tray and bake for 20 minutes. Once it cools , scoop out a spoonful and garnish it with some apple chunks.
Serving suggestion: Served best with cold custard.
And in case the doctor asks…you had your apple today!
