‘Tis the season to be jolly

Don we now our gay apparel

   Troll the ancient Yule-tide carol.

The season to be merry is here. The happy month is here. The warm fuzzy feeling when you see a Christmas tree , the lovely aroma of fresh cake and soothing carols in the air and you know the season to be jolly is here..

The season started a little sooner for us when the Sheraton Bangalore organized the Tree Lighting ceremony on the 29th of Nov. Driving around the town and reaching the venue , we were welcomed by the staff of the Sheraton and ushered into a huge lobby of the hotel. A quick look at the ambience highlights the tasteful interiors of the Sheraton. A first look around and you cannot miss the Giant Ginger bread house.

The Ginger Bread House has close to 2000 odd ginger bread tiles , sealed with icing made of sugar and egg whites and beautifully adorned with lovely M & Ms and Jujups. I had my little one thrilled and wanting to pick the tasty treats off the ginger bread house. It was an impossible feat to resist the temptation , until we were all invited to try out our own Ginger bread houses under the careful supervision of the Chef.

The mood got more festive with children singing carols and more guests pouring in.

Soon after the carols, the official ceremony took over with a thank you note from the Hotel Staff, . This was followed by the lighting of the Christmas Tree by the Hotels General manager. Amidst the beautiful lights, the festive celebrations at the hotel were officially launched.

In addition to the Christmas Carol and tree lighting ceremony, guests were also treated with scrumptious and delightful dishes, specially prepared by the culinary team to enhance the merry-making.
